Vehicle seized at Siret Border Crossing Point for cigarettes smuggling
Romanian Border Police officers within Siret Border Crossing Point, Suceava County, detected hidden inside a car, under the floor, 600 packages of cigarettes.
The cigarettes, valuing about 700 Lei, were sized by custom officers whom also imposed a fine of 5.000 Lei to the driver. Also, the vehicle, ZAZA, valuing about 16.800 Lei, was seized too.
The way to Italy crosses the frozen Prut River
Romanian Border Police officers within Botosani Border Police Territorial Service in cooperation with Romanian Immigration Office, while carrying out activities for countering and preventing illegal migration, detected three citizens of Republic of Moldova whom had crossed illegally the border over Prut River, in order to reach Western Europe.
Prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of illegal state border crossing were drawn by Border Police officers.
Driving without driving license
Romanian Border Police officers within Berezeni Border Police Sector, Vaslui County, detected a Romanian, Sorin D., 36 years old driving a Opel Vectra without a driving license. He was accompanied by his wife, the owner of the car whom also had no driving license.

Eight migrants detected at the border
Romanian Border Police officers within Lunga Border Police Sector, Timis County, detected two groups of illegal migrants consisting of eight people, Algerians, Afghanis and Libyans, with ages from 22 to 34 years old, trying to illegally cross the Serbian- Romanian green border.
Prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of illegal state border crossing were drawn by Border Police officers, following at the end of the investigation to be taken all the imposed legal measures.
Cigarettes seized at Constanta
Romanian Border Police officers within Coast Guard detected in Constanta two Romanian selling 6.940 unstamped cigarettes without justifiable documents.
The cigarettes, valuing about 4.170 LEI were seized and also a fine of 1.000 for each person involved was imposed.
Citizen of Republic of Moldova sent back to her country
Romanian Border Police officers within Coast Guard in cooperation with Romanian Immigration Office - Tulcea Territorial Service, while carrying out activities for countering and preventing illegal migration, detected a citizen of Republic of Moldova, a woman, B.M. who did not respect the conditions for a legal stay in Romanian. Due to this fact, on her name was issued an expulsion decision and also a fine was imposed.

Romanian Border Police officers within Coast Guard while carrying out specific activities in the area of responsibility, detected in Constanta, a 42 years old man driving a Ford, registered in Bulgaria, without a driving license.
Border Police officers acted in accordance with the law, taking all the imposed legal measures.
Stolen Renault Magnum detected at the border
Romanian Border Police officers within Zimnicea Border Police Sector, Teleorman County, detected, in the area of responsibility, a Renault Magnum, declares stolen from Poland in 2010, driven by a Bulgarian.

With falsified documents at the border
Romanian Border Police officers within Cenad Border Crossing Point, Timis County, detected a woman trying to illegally exit Romania by using an identity card stolen from another person.

Romanian Border Police officers within Varsand Border Crossing Point, Arad County, detected a Romanian, a 35 years old man, trying to illegally bring into Romania 6.12 kilos of tobacco.

Statistics regarding Romanian Border Police activity in the last 24 hours
In the last 24 hours, in the competence areas - meaning border crossing points and "green border" - Border Police officers detected:
- 48 illegal deeds (22 crimes and 26 penalties) committed by Romanian and foreign citizens;
- the amount of penalties reaches approximately 5,000 lei;
- undeclared goods (which were to be smuggled into the country), which exceeded the customs’ legal provisions or were suspected as being counterfeit with a total value of 82,000 lei, were detected;
- the flow of passengers and means of transportation at the border crossing points was about 71,300 people, both at the entry and at the exit and over 24,800 means of transportation.
3 foreign citizens were refused entry due to the fact that they did not meet the entry requirements and 10 Romanian citizens were not allowed to exit Romania out of various legal grounds.
