At the end of this week, Romanian Border Police officers detected and apprehended 25 people, citizens of Afghanistan, Alger, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Palestine, Moldova and Libya trying to illegally cross the Romanian border.
19 illegal migrants were apprehended by Border Police officers within Timis Border Police County Inspectorate, 4 illegal migrants by Border Police officers within Bors Border Police Sector - Bihor County and 2 by those within Satu Mare Border Police County Inspectorate.
In all the cases prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of state border illegal crossing or attempt of state border illegal crossing were drawn by Border Police officers.

- Between 12 - 14.08.2011, Border Police officers within Timis Border Police County Inspectorate apprehended several groups of migrants from Algeria, Afghanistan, Syria, Palestine, Libya and Tunisia, with ages from 17 to 34 years old, trying to illegally reach Schengen area.
Thus, on 14.08.2011, Border Police officers within Deta Border Police Sector detected, in the competency area, five people, males, who spoke no Romanian and had no identity documents. Border Police officers led them on the premises of Deta Border Police Sector, in order to sort out the situation. On this occasion was established the fact that the five people, with ages between 23 and 29 are: two of them Syrians and three Tunisians who had illegally crossed the Serbian-Romanian border.
Also yesterday, Border Police officers within Moravita, Lunga and Sannicolau Mare Border Police Sectors detected, in the competency area, one group per each sector formed by four migrants, males. During preliminary investigations, was established the fact that the men, 3 citizens of Algeria, 3 Tunisians, 3 Palestinians and 3 Libyans, with ages from 17 to 32 years old, had illegally crossed the Romanian-Serbian border.
Also Border Police officers within Jimbolia Border Police Sector detected, on the morning of 13th of August 2011, at about 02.30 hours, in the competency area, two migrants, citizens of Afghanistan with ages from 22 to 28 years old, who had illegally crossed the Serbian-Romanian border.
In all the cases prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of state border illegal crossing were drawn by Border Police officers, following at the end of the investigation to be taken the imposed legal measures. - Border Police officers within Bors Border Police Sector, Bihor County apprehended four citizens of Republic of Moldova trying to illegally exit Romania.
The men were detected on 12.08.2011, around 18.00 hours by a Border police patrol at about 400, meters away from the border line. They spoke no Romanian and had no identity documents. For this reason, Border Police officers led them on the premises of Bors Border Police Sector, in order to sort out the situation. On this occasion was established the fact that they are citizens of Republic of Moldova, with ages between 19 and 22 years old.
The men came on various means of transportation to Oradea from where they took a TAXI to Bors and walked towards the border line where were detected by Border Police patrol.
The aforementioned men stated that they intended to reach Hungary using this way and their final destination would have been Schengen area in order to get a job.
Prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of attempt of state border illegal crossing were drawn by Border Police officers on the manes of the illegal migrants. - On 13.08.2011, at about 03.00 hours, a Border Police patrol consisting of Border Police officers within Petea Border Police Sector, Satu Mare County, detecting close to the Romanian-Hungarian border line, two people walking towards Hungary. Their presence in the area not being justified, Border Police officers led them on the premises of Petea Border Police Sector for further investigations.
Following the investigation resulted that they are citizens of Morocco and Algeria, with ages of 28 ans 30 years old.
Prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of attempt of state border illegal crossing were drawn by Border Police officers.
