In the last 24 hours, Western Romanian Border Police officers detected and apprehended seventeen people in the competency area of various nationalities, trying to illegally cross the state border in order to exit Romania. In all the cases prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of attempt of illegal border crossing were drawn by Border Police officers.
- On 9th of November 2011 a Border Police patrol within Nadlac Border Police Sector, Arad County, detected in the responsibility area, with the help of night vision equipment, a group of illegal migrants consisting of five people, males, walking towards Hungary.
The aforementioned people were apprehended at about 50 meters within Romanian territory from the neighboring state.
Due to the fact that their presence within the area was not justified, that they spoke no Romanian and had no identity documents, were led on the premises of Border Police Sector, in order to sort out the situation.
Following the investigations, was established the fact that they are citizens of Tunisia with ages from 22 to 36, trying to illegally reach France . They stated that they acted this way because of the lack of Schengen visas.
- Also Border Police officers within Bihor Border Police County Inspectorate detected and apprehended four people, males, trying to illegally cross the Romanian-Hungarian border for reaching Schengen area.
This morning, around 06.00 hours, a Border Police patrol within Diosig Border Police Sector, Bihor County , detected, at about 50 meters within Romanian territory from the border line, four people, males, whose presence within the area was not justified. They spoke no Romanian and had no identity documents, were led on the premises of Border Police Sector, in order to sort out the situation.
On this occasion was established the fact that two of them are from Morocco, one from Tunisia and one Algerian with ages from 29 to 39 years old.
They stated that their intention was to illegally cross Romanian-Hungarian border in order to reach Schengen area, for getting a job.
- Three Pakistanis whom intended to illegally exit Romania for reaching Austria , were stopped by Border Police officers within Satu Mare Border Police County Inspectorate.
Thursday, 8th of December, Border Police officers within Carei and Berveni Border Police Sectors, acting in accordance with the information got from a police officer within Carei Rural Police, initiated a specific action for countering illegal migration within the responsibility area.
In Capleni, three people, males who spoke no Romanian, were detected. Out of the investigation was established the fact they are Pakistanis with ages from 18 to 52 years old, stating that they tried to reach Austria.
- Border Police officers within Sannicolau Mare Border Police Sector, Timis County , detected in the responsibility area, five illegal migrants, citizens of Tunisia and Alger.
On 8th of December, Border Police officers within Timis Border Police County Inspectorate detected at about 50 meters within Romanian territory from the border line, with the help of night vision equipment, a group of illegal migrants consisting of five people, males.
After being intercepted, was established the fact that four of them are from Algeria and one Tunisian with ages from 23 to 33 years old, intending to illegally cross Romanian-Hungarian border.
They stated also that they acted this way because of the lack of Schengen visas.
In all the cases prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of attempt of illegal border crossing were drawn by Border Police officers, following at the end of the investigation to be taken all the imposed legal measures.
