Within the first three days of this year, Romanian Border Police officers within Timioara Border Police Territorial Inspectorate detected fifteen people trying to illegally cross the Serbian-Romanian border and seven people trying to illegally reach Hungary towards "green border".
Border Police officers within Lunga, Jimbolia, Moravita and Sannicolau Mare Border Police Sectors detected, in the area of responsibility, eight groups of illegal migrants consisting of twenty two men.
The detected people had no identity documents and spoke no Romanian. This determined Border Police officers to lead the people on the premises of Border Police Sectors, in order to sort out the situation. On this occasion, was established the fact that they are citizens of Palestine, Alger, Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia, with ages from 19 to 44 years old. Fifteen of them were trying to illegally cross the Serbian-Romanian border and seven tried to illegally reach Hungary in order to access Schengen area.
Prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of state border illegal crossing or attempt of state border illegal crossing were drawn by Border Police officers, following, at the end of the investigation to be taken all the imposed legal measures.
